The most simple and economical method to prevent oral diseases is oral hygiene practiced by the patient at home and by the professional at the office every six months.
Preventive actions for patients include the use of a therapeutic toothbrush, interdental instruments and the correct antibacterial mouth rinse.
The professional helps to prevent oral diseases by cleaning above and below the gum line, polishing retentive surface area, and applying fluoride.
Preventive and conservative or minimally invasive dentistry means “removing as little as possible” from the tooth, which is achieved by working with laser and a microscope with higher magnification so as not to use the drill so much.

To prevent tooth decay it is recommended to have less than four intakes of carbohydrates a day, brush the teeth, use interdental instruments once a day and fluoride paste, gel and/or mouthwash.
For patients with gum problems, maintenance at the office is essential, as well as prescribed hygiene practices and a check-up every three months.

Not all mouthwashes are recommended for all patients; consult a professional what the product to suit your needs is.

Renew your toothbrush every three months.

Have a check-up with your dentist every six months.
