My passion for microbiology was born back in my second year at college, microbial cells, body cells... fascinating machinery of biological engineering!
It would be impossible to be unaware of the bases that maintain those elements we see, treat and modify.
Each cell is an entity with its own evolution, with an individual reaction to the environment that on many occasions conditions that evolution and involves the rest of them.
Each organ is thousands of cells wisely organized and interconnected with the other organs, and at the same time, the coexistence and relationship between these machines and viruses and bacteria is exquisite.
What with what microorganisms do and don’t do to succumb to the artillery of our body and to be able to remain in those tissues with the sole objective of "surviving"!
I'm including here the wonderful Pictures of Transmission Electron Microscopy taken at the Conicet, awarded a prize at the Periodontics Iberopanamerican Congress, in August 2001, they depict the differences between health and disease in cells and bacteria inside the gum; and the poster for best work awarded in 2010 at the Osseointegration Latinamerican Association ALAO.
